A true-crime anthology podcast investigating corruption and negligence of law enforcement in Cascade County, Montana, a county that is known for its heavy-handed police work as well as the incarceration and harassment of innocent civilians. Season One titled ”Trial By Fire” looks into the killing of Michael Hanson while he was tending to a friend’s property in the middle of winter.

On February 23, 2024 Michael Hanson was fatally shot by Cascade County Sheriff's Office Detective Jacob Tri. The official investigation into these events inadequately served justice and therefore this show will attempt to remedy that. With many conflicts in testimonies and evidence, the actual events of the shooting seem to be contrary to the official narrative.
Join us as we conduct our own investigation. We will revisit the scene of the shooting, interview members of the Cascade County community who are seeking justice for Michael Hanson, and attempt to interview the government officials involved in the case. We will present all information discovered during the process and then it will be up to you to decide what really happened.
We will be conducting the investigation simultaneously with the release of new episodes, meaning you will learn of our discoveries within weeks or even days. Even we do not know the outcome of this show.
